Wholesale
Pocket watches your customers will keep — and tell stories about.
Born in Brisbane, dispatched in a bamboo presentation box. Now offered to a small number of stockists who care about the kind of object that earns its place on the shelf.
Why FOB earns the shelf
Four reasons retailers reorder — and what makes us different from the watch case at the back of a department store.
i. A piece with a story
Every watch carries a heritage hook — full hunter, half hunter, skeleton, double-faced — and a register that prompts the “tell me about that” moment at the counter. Customers remember where they bought it.
ii. 50% gross margin
Straightforward wholesale terms. The RRP is set; you keep half. No tiered headaches, no mystery rebate structures.
iii. Five to open, no minimum after that
The first order is five pieces — enough for both of us to gauge fit. After that, order by the watch. Restock when a customer asks for one, not when an arbitrary case-pack tells you to.
iv. Presentation already handled
Every piece dispatches in a bamboo presentation box. Nothing extra to source, no plain plastic clamshells to repackage. Giftable the moment it lands on your shelf.
How it works
Four small steps from “interesting” to “in store”.
- Apply. Fill out the short form below — about your store, your customers, your channels.
- Approval. We review the fit (usually within a few business days) and reply either way.
- Catalogue + brand pack. Approved stockists get the wholesale price list, product photography, logo files, and copy you can lift straight into your channels.
- Order at your pace. One piece for a curious customer, a collection for a season — your call.
Best fit
FOB sits well in stores where a customer is looking for something a little out of the ordinary — for themselves, or as a gift that says you put thought into it.
- Independent jewellery and giftware retailers
- Museum, gallery, and heritage shops
- Antique, vintage, and curio stores
- Menswear and formalwear shops with a gift line
- Tourist and resort retailers stocking a premium tier
- Bookshops and stationery stores with a curated gift section
A few questions you might have
Where are the watches made?
The FOB collection is curated and dispatched from Brisbane. The pieces themselves are sourced from movement and case makers we’ve worked with for years — the same combination of design oversight from Australia and craftsmanship from established workshops abroad that almost every modern watch brand operates under.
How is wholesale pricing structured?
50% off the listed RRP across the catalogue, ex-GST. The RRP on each product page is what your customer pays; you keep half. There are no tiers, rebates, or promotion-only deals to track.
How does the minimum order work?
The opening order is five pieces — small enough to be a low-risk trial, large enough that both sides aren’t burning admin on a single-watch send. After that there’s no minimum: reorder by the piece, restock when your customers buy.
What about marketing assets — photography, copy, logos?
Approved stockists get a brand pack: high-resolution product photography, the Groom & Co logo files, and product copy you can lift straight into your own channels.
How do I get in touch outside the form?
Once you’re approved, you’ll have a direct contact at FOB — not a portal-only support queue. Until then, the form below is the fastest way through.
